What is OFF?
The Orem Film Festival (OFF) returns for its second year in 2026, continuing to build a platform for independent filmmakers to showcase their work and connect with audiences. Founded by Orem local Trevor Allen, OFF celebrates storytelling, artistic vision, and community engagement, with this year’s festival taking place on September 23 at the Geneva Megaplex.
2026 Awards & Prizes
Selected films at the Orem Film Festival will compete for cash prizes in three categories: Audience Choice, Jury Prize for Best Short, and Utah Emerging Filmmaker, each awarding $1,000. Winners will gain recognition, financial support, and industry exposure. The awards celebrate storytelling, artistic vision, and the future of Utah cinema.
2025 Recap
September 24, 2025, marked the very first Orem Film Festival. We are deeply grateful to the 610 guests who attended our debut celebration of independent cinema and original art. It was an honor to watch these ten films on the big screen at the Geneva Megaplex. Read below for highlights from the event and this year’s award-winning filmmakers.
